Untitled

Untitled is a hand-embroidered textile. Forms generated by an algorithm of Xie's design were selected and reworked by hand, then translated into thread on a field of blue linen, where they gather, fray and drift across a wide horizontal format.

The piece sits at the meeting point of computation and craft: the layered textures of embroidery give tactile weight to patterns that began as code, and the abstracted, mythological forms carry a sense of lore without settling into a single image.
